Police asks hotels to help identify woman found dead

The identification of a woman, around sixty years old, who was found deceased in the sea at Sæbraut in Reykjavík on Tuesday has still not been successful. The body was found near the Sólfarið artwork close to Harpa concert hall.

The woman is around 165 cm, around 80 kg and has a blonde, short hair. She had a gold bracelet around her left wrist, a notable scar on the bridge of her right foot and also a notable scar on her left knee.

It is a possibility that the woman was a foreign tourist. Owners of hotels, bed and breakfasts and other accommodations are thus asked to keep that in mind.

Policjanci nadal ustalają tożsamość zwłok kobiety w wieku około sześćdziesieciu lat,  która została znaleziona martwa na brzegu morza przy ul. Sæbraut w Reykjavíku w miniony wtorek. Wzrost kobiety to 165 cm, waga ok. 80 kg, krutkie i jasne włosy.

Na lewym nadgarstku kobiety znaleziono złotą bransoletkę, a na prawej nodze, na płaskim łączeniu nad palcami i kolanie widnieją wyraźne blizny. Możliwe że kobieta była turystką i właściciele hoteli i pensjonatów proszeni są o zwrucenie szczególnej uwagi czy ta osoba nie przebywała w danym miejscu.

Prosimy wszystkie osoby, które mogą pomóc policjantom w ustaleniu tożsamości kobiety o kontakt. Wszelkie informacje można przekazywać funkcjonariuszom Komendy Policji w Reykjaviku telefonicznie pod numerem telefonu 444 1000.
