Nýtt upplag og góðir dómar

Nýtt upplag er komið til landsins af nýjustu útgáfu amiinu, The Lighthouse Project. Platan er því aftur fáanleg bæði á geisladisk og á vínyl en hún var uppseld hér heima sem og hjá erlendum birgjum.

The Lighthouse Project er gefin út af amiinu í samvinnu við Smekkleysu á Íslandi og Sound of a Handshake/morr music sem annast dreifingu erlendis.

Plötunni hefur verið mjög vel tekið og þykja til að mynda umbúðir geisladisksins afar glæsilegar en hann er í bókarformi, ríkulega myndskreyttur myndum úr tónleikaferð amiinu 2009 þar sem þær sungu í vitum, víðsvegar um landið.

Amiina spilar á Iceland Airwaves í ár, laugardaginn 2. nóvember í Gamla bíói. Áður en að því kemur spilar hljómsveitin í Frakklandi á kvikmyndatónleikum í samvinnu við Yann Tiersen. Sveitin hefur nýlokið við að semja tónlist við eina af hinum klassísku kvikmyndum um Fantômas sem fagna 100 ára afmæli sínu um þessar mundir (https://chatelet-theatre.com/2013-2014/fantomas-fr).

Aamiina kom einnig að  gerð plötu Julianna Barwick, Nepenthe, þar sem Alex Somers stjórnaði upptökum en amiina lagði til strengi á plötunni, sem hefur fengið lofsamlega dóma.
